Consultant/Principal - Benefits Consulting

Convyta Partners is growing and we are looking for a Consultant/Principal to join our Benefits consulting team in Western Canada. This position will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. You will take on meaningful client relationships and help shape how we serve our clients. We are seeking someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves – whether that means leading a large, sophisticated client engagement or working through the details on a smaller account. We value consultants who are comfortable thinking strategically to support clients while also being willing to get into the weeds to address client questions that arise.

About us:

Convyta Partners is a pension, investment and benefits consulting and administration firm with approximately 100 professionals. Our head office is located in Burnaby and we have a growing remote footprint across Western Canada. Convyta was formed in October 2025 through the combination of George & Bell Consulting and Bilsland Griffith Benefit Administrators – two firms with deep roots in the multi-employer and negotiated cost plan space.

We advise boards of trustees and benefits committees in union, single-employer, and jointly governed environments on all aspects of group benefit plan management. We are jointly owned by the Partners in our firm and 10 pension and health & welfare plans. We are closely aligned with our clients, prioritizing the long-term well-being of our clients’ plan members, rather than short-term business gains.

At Convyta, you’ll find more than just a job—you’ll find a place where your expertise is valued, your ideas are heard, and your growth is supported. We believe in balance, flexibility, and investing in our people—because when our team thrives, so do our clients.

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 7 years of benefits consulting experience, with past experience at both the analyst and consultant levels
  • Experience working with clients of varying sizes and complexities
  • A well-rounded background of technical and consulting know-how in group benefits. A formal designation such as FCIA or ACIA would be an asset but is not required.
  • The ability to oversee clients and client teams with minimal oversight or direction
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while meeting deadlines
  • An innovative mindset to develop unique, technically sound client solutions
  • A strong desire to continually learn in a dynamic team environment
  • A proven track record in the market of working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and other partners
  • Knowledge of benefits industry trends and regulatory policies

What you will do:

  • Serve as the day-to-day consultant for several of our clients, supporting them in delivering quality benefits in a sustainable manner to their membership.
  • Work alongside our other consultants to continuously ensure we are best serving the unique needs of our clients to:
    • Guide client teams in the development of client analysis, reports and recommendations
    • Deliver insights and advice to clients
    • Actively build and maintain relationships with clients
    • Oversee client projects and deadlines
    • Mentor and help develop our benefits team members
    • Monitor market changes in order to consider the impacts to our clients
  • Deliver and manage projects on time and within budget
  • Provide quality service
  • Support internal initiatives carried out by the firm
  • Travel, as necessary, to meet with clients
